Coleman Stove
Remember camping with your family in the fifties? Well then there was a Coleman stove called the green suitcase
stove? They have been around for many years and are still being used today. Coleman stoves last forever. They have
a newer and improved model that a lot of campers chose to use. It is the four twenty four Dual Fuel, an improved
version of the four twenty five F.
This particular Coleman stove comes with two burners, one small one and one larger one. The big burner, if used
alone can have an impressive blue fireball around eleven thousand BTUs. If you put a large pot or pan on it the
overflowing flame might scorch the front of the wall here the fuel tank is kept. Not too safe but can be maintained
carefully.
The smaller burner on this Coleman stove is great for just simmering foods. Such as soups or stews that might
take a while to cook. If using both burners you can rotate the pots from the small one to the larger one if need
be. Do not use the smaller burner for boiling; it takes way too long to heat up.
If you are going on a weekend trip this Coleman stove is just the thing. The fuel tank will last for days, and
probably you will not run out of fuel. The efficiency is very good even with the larger burner. Of course there is
a funnel that is a must for all Coleman stoves. It is for safety and will prevent any spills that may occur. Some
come with a built in filter. Using this Coleman stove for many years there are things that will clog up the filter
and pipe lines.
Buy a propane gas blow torch and take it with you if you use the Coleman stove over and over again. They are
about the same price as a small generator and much easier to use. Any carbon deposit will be burned off when you
use the blow torch. Take a stiff brush, usually a brass brash works well and clean the coils inside.
This Coleman stove comes with clear and readable instructions on the cover of the stove just lift the lid and
they are right there. No worries about losing them and cannot find them for the next camping trip. When following
the instructions you will have a wonderful experience with a Coleman stove.
When lighting the Coleman stove, have patience. Let the flame burn a little bit. If you flip the lever down too
early, the might go out as the fuel is not hot enough and the fuel will vaporize, thus you will have to start all
over again. So plan that next camping trip with a good solid Coleman stove, take those hot dogs and hamburgers for
the kids to enjoy. You will never be disappointed with a Coleman stove. They range in different prices and burner
count. Surely there is the right one out there with your name on it.
